Who We Are

Founded in 1980, the Association of Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters of Manitoba (ATIM) is a non-profit association affiliated with the Canadian Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters Council  (CTTIC). In 2025, the Government of Manitoba recognized ATIM as the exclusive certifying body for language professionals in the province. ATIM’s members are certified according to national standards through CTTIC’s certification exams or a rigorous review of work portfolios.

ATIM provides a collective voice for its members, fostering their professional development and raising public awareness of the vital role that translators, terminologists and interpreters play in society.

The Association also protects the public interest by ensuring that its members practise their professions in accordance with ATIM’s Code of Ethics (ADD LINK HERE).

Please note that ATIM does not provide translation or interpretation services. To hire a translator or interpreter, we invite you to search our directory and contact a qualified professional directly.
